HELIODOR: HOW WE MET
When I began shopping for Heliodor, I found two options worth traveling for to encounter. The first was a stunning gem quality piece that could not have been more crystal clear. Its energy was fluid + soft, much like the elf I had become. It felt to me like “the one I would normally choose.” I could sense its refinement + grace.
The second one was nearly twice its size, complex, and practically covered in “spikes.” It filled my grip + felt like it was stuck to my skin. I could feel the “whoa” of my total-being response. This was the opposite of what I would typically choose, but the impact took my breath away.
I knew in that moment I had been given a choice: amplify who I’d already become, or provoke something new to arise. I could just sense it in that second option: it called to something beyond what I already knew of myself.
I could sense Masculine Presence, Radiant Power, Intent. I felt the Sun it embodied. I felt the call to awaken the Man within me. I felt the call to stand up into my Greater Story.
I left with that second stone.
MEETING THOR / HORUS
The first time I held this particular specimen, I felt the scale of its impact. My first thought was, “There’s a god energy in this one.” Later, when I made the time to commune with the crystal, I asked if it had a name. Instantly, it replied, Yes. I am Thor / Horus, the Sun.
Initially, this confused me, since it sounded like two names at first. After some research, though, it became clear that there was, in fact, a direct link between the Nordic Thor + the (much older) figure of Horus (emerging from Egyptian lore).
Thor + Horus were the same: down to the craziest details! I still remember the way chills erupted like lightning the moment I realized that this stone had spoken to me of a fact I could never have known beforehand.
I had been right about this one. I’ve kept it close ever since.
